Wonderful day at the Addo elephant national park! Thanks to Debbie, I had the chance to see a safari before I left South Africa. I stayed the day before in Port Elizabeth and tried to book a tour through my stay, but no game dive had vacant seats anymore. When I contacted Debbie the next morning if a game drive would be possible, she accepted even on such a short notice. A couple of hours later I was with her in the park.
Debbie is a wonderful person and we had an interesting conversation throughout the game drive. She not only is a knowledgeable person who can explain all aspects of the park or the animals, but also answered my questions regarding daily life in PE.
The game drive itself was wonderful. I saw many elephants and they were so close to the car, you could almost touch them! Besides the elephants, I also saw many animals, like Kudus, Antilopes, Zebras and leopard turtles, which I would not even have noticed without Debbie. Unfortunately we didn’t see any lions, but a game drive is also about luck. But it was nice to see water buffalos.
If you not only want to have a driver who shows you the places, but also someone fun, easy to talk to and a very serious and passionate person about animals and nature, then I definitely can recommend Debbie. She even went out of her way and showed me a little Port Elizabeth and recommended me some restaurants!
Thank you again Debbie for the awesome experience!
We had an absolutely great tour from Port Elizabeth to Addo Elephant National Park with Debbies Tours. Debbie is a top class qualified guide who did her utmost to show us what the park has from the majestic closely encountered Elephants to the Flightless Dungbeetle. She really has passion for Addo Park and enjoys passing on her knowledge. We were a work group outing and everybody had a lovely relaxed day in comfortable luxury vehicles. The picnic lunch was superb and we can recommend this tour to anyone. You will enjoy it.
We had a wonderful day with Debbie in Addo Park. From the communication before the tour until the drop off after a day full of sightings everything went perfectly smooth and Debbie was so helpful.
She took us to so many wonderful spots to see the animals, showing how good she knows the park. And you can really see how enthusiastic she is about everything herself. Even though the weather wasn‘t the best Debbie treated us to an unforgettable experience including a delicious picnic and we would definitely recommend doing a tour with her.
From the moment my friend and myself were picked up by Debbie,we were in for a treat. Debbie made us feel so comfortable and answered all our questions about the Addo area, elephant park and all the different animals, trees, scrubs, birds, insects and much more. We had water in the car and she had a very special treat when we arrived at Jack’s picnic site. A beautiful table was prepared with wine, cooldrinks, cold meats, fruit, cheeses, biscuits, different quiches, biltong, olives. We then continued our drive and ended at the main camp for some excellent shopping at the gift shop and a last look at the beautiful elephants, kudu and warthogs at the main camp waterhole. Debbie then took us back to our accommodation. Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience Debbie!!! I will recommend your safari to anybody!!
Debbie is passionate about wildlife, has lived in the area for years and will go to great lengths to make sure that you have a wonderful safari.
Lovely tour to Addo.. lotz of baby Ellies.. please call Debbie for your Tour
My wife and I were recently treated to a full one day personalized tour/safari of the famous Addo Elephant Park about 60km from the outskirts of Port Elizabeth, hosted by Addo Secrets Safaris. Well what a fantastic day! VIP & personalized service from Debbie from the moment we stepped into the very comfy (and 100% safe) tour vehicle for the day. Nothing was too much, not to mention the endless supply of snacks / refreshments and an all but gourmet styled picnic lunch. This almost detracted from the original purpose of the tour 🙂 – game viewing in the ‘Addo’ Debbie patiently ‘exposed us’ to the Addo wildlife. We viewed, too many to count, varietal species of buck and antelope. Birds aplenty, many many Addo elephants, literally a few meters from our vehicle. This was occasionally scary, always safe, but not to be missed! Top this up with a very rare sighting of a pair of bat-eared foxes Then almost on cue towards the end of the day, voila, two magnificent majestic King of the Beasts, huge male Lions, chilling in the late afternoon sun a mere 60 meters from our vehicle. (a game in the wild photographers dream !) We’ll be back Debs!!! Warm regards to Martin. Ray&Henriette.
